Lovely Lanterns at Magnificent Meadowbrook

Hi Everyone,

If you're a Michigander than Meadowbrook needs no introduction! We're 'over the moon' about our "Magnificent Meadowbrook" wedding this past weekend! Meadowbrook Hall & Gardens, the original Dodge Family Mansion in Rochester, Michigan was the venue for our amazing bride Kristy!

Over a year of carefully planned details and selections came to life in a truly spectacular display of historic nostalgia. We again were so thrilled to collaborate with Misty Trompeter of Bells & Bliss (www.bellsandbliss.com) to create a gorgeous palette of soft butter yellow, pale pink and citrus green

The continuing theme throughout the decor was the vintage style lanterns which glowed with a warm presence throughout the night. Inside the Great Hall, Lanterns flickered around the place cards and family photos. Eclectic lanterns flickering along the walkway guided guests as well as giant lanterns adorned with lush garden roses marked the aisle way for the bridal party.

In side the tent lanterns continued on the oblong guests tables for continuous romantic light throughout dinner and into the dancing hour. A reproduction saloon style bar was set and which really added that special touch to keep the decor in the true period.

Vintage Fun

Hi Everyone!

"Vintage" is the new modern and "Pink" is the new....pink! Pink is always in season, and when paired with some wonderful vintage accents the result is right on trend!

We had so much fun collaborating with one of our favorite wedding planners Misty from Bells & Bliss (www.bellsandbliss.com) and our wonderful bride Rebecca for a 50's vintage inspired soiree. Both the wedding and reception took place on beautiful Lake St. Clair at The Historical Grosse Pointe War Memorial!

We used 100's of milk glass vases (that Rebecca and her mom collected for more than a year) with all pink flowers of garden roses, ranunculus and peonies. The vases paired with multiple candles created a lush glow of flickering light!

Details, all from the bride, of "Mr & Mrs", Wishing Tree, and vintage cake stands really brought to live Rebecca's vision of her 1950's inspired nuptials.

Something Blue!

One of my favorite wedding related versus is "Something old, something new, something borrowed something BLUE!"

Blue is always a fabulous color for weddings - while it is a popular color, not
many flowers are truly blue, however the ones that grow naturally are magnificent!

We were so excited to work with our beautiful bride Grayson on a "Something Blue" affair at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester.

The bride carried flowers of soft white and blue utilizing Tibet Roses and Canadian delphinium. Her bouquet was finished with a wrap of french blue satin (that complimented her bridesmaids dresses) which added a pop of "Something Blue!"

The ceremony, in the grande glass structure 'Conservatory' at The Royal Park was the perfect backdrop to highlight "Something Blue." Lush ceremony pieces filled with hydrangea, delphinium and roses flanked each side of the bride and groom, while scatters of delphinium blooms mixed with soft white petals welcomed the processional.

Pretty Purple!

Hi Everyone,

If you haven't noticed, purple and all shades of are hot this spring season!

Our gorgeous bride Jamie and her handsome groom Ko had a fabulous
wedding celebration this past weekend at the wonderful
Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan.

Jamie chose to carry shades of lavender down the isle and thus HMD utilized
'Cool Water' roses, 'Lavender Gem' mini calla lilies and 'Blush' cymbidium orchids!
Tied with Midori 'Alabster' satin to match her gown - her bouquet was radiant just like her!
